Day 6 (13 Feb 2012) – Problem 6: Wearing cosmetic lenses daily

The problem we’re addressing today is wearing your cosmetic lenses daily!

Okay, I know how everyone (including myself) thinks that cosmetic lenses can be worn daily. By cosmetic lenses, I don’t mean your usual contact lenses. We’re talking about the colored ones.

Here’s the truth about colored contacts:

Coloured contact lenses may result in compromised vision as the artificial pupil it creates for wearers are non-altering and will not be able to constrict and dilate to accommodate users’ viewing needs. The pigments that are present in coloured contact lenses also cause greater accumulation of dirt, making cleaning more challenging than usual

Thus, cosmetic lenses should only be reserved for special occasions! I’m reserving the cosmetic lenses that was given to me in my ambassador’s kit for tomorrow cos I’ll be heading out! Check back here for tomorrow’s post!
