DAY 1/7 - AFS
Day 1 (8 Feb 2012) – Problem 1: Purchasing from unauthorized retailers

I’ve received my ambassador kit! It contains:
1. Solo care aqua all-in-one solution for soft contact lenses
2. Penta Plex Comfort Drops lens lubricant
3. Beauty Buffet Caviar & Biopeptide facial mask
4. 2 pairs of MISAKI cosmetic contact lenses

Today I’ll be addressing the first problem — purchasing contact lenses from unauthorized retailers. I know of a few friends who buy their contact lenses online because it’s so much cheaper etc. I’ve never purchased any lenses online before mainly because I always stick to clear lenses instead of the cosmetic colored ones which are much pricier should you buy them from authorized legit places.
Apparently there is an increasing number of youths suffering from eye infections due to their purchasing of contact lenses from these unauthorized places such as blog shops. I went to google some problems people face when they purchase from such blog shops, and saw a couple of freaky stories about their eyes being infected and excreting pus and turning red and being really sensitive. Grosses me out, really. While I understand it’s cheaper and maybe there are even more varieties available online from these blog shops, I don’t think it’s worth paying this heavy price of sensitive eyes in exchange for cheaper lenses.
Okay back to the MISAKI contact lenses I received in my ambassador’s kit, here’s Misaki’s website. Gotta love the clean layout of their website. Misaki, a Korean brand, has a large variety of cosmetic contact lenses available. Check their product page out! I love how they go into quite a bit of details describing each pair of contact lenses and type so that users get an in-depth review of the type of contact lenses Misaki offers.
Misaki is also registered with HSA on supply of medical products regulation! So the brand’s completely legit, with so many types of contact lenses to suit any look. Their cosmetic lenses are also distributed in several optical shops. Click here to take a look at the list of where you can purchase your Misaki lenses!
It’s really important to purchase your contact lenses from authorized and most importantly, reliable retailers. You’re responsible for your own eye care! Don’t put yourself at risk of all the unnecessary complications and eye infections. :)
Always ensure the health of your eyes, for you’ll be rewarded with sights truly worth keeping.
